Norma was a life-long devoted Christian and very active in her church. For many years she taught Sunday School and also performed duties as church librarian and deaconess.

She also contributed her time creating heart shaped pillows, cloth dolls, bags, hats, blankets and quilts for patients at local hospitals.
After Tom, her husband of 54 years passed away, she was determined to continue to help others by baking countless pies for fundraisers and people in her church who were going through troubled times.
