Ronnie Ray McCartney, age 61, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday June 9, 2021 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born July 3, 1959 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of the late Guy Louis McCartney and Marjorie Jean (Sult) McCartney.
Ronnie cherished his grandchildren and spending his time with family. He enjoyed working outdoors on his tractor, gaming with his grandchildren and friends, and for many years he has been dedicated to raising rabbits. Ronnie also enjoyed being an owner/operator and was an avid fisherman in his younger years.
On August 19, 1978 he married Pamela (Mayfield) McCartney who survives.
He is also survived by his two daughters, Cassandra (Scott) Hitchcock and Leah Butler; one son, Jeremy (Ashley) McCartney; 16 grandchildren, one great
grandson; two brothers, Louis McCartney and Ricky (Donna) McCartney along with many nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister, Ida (Jack) McGowen, brother, Clarence "Butch" Randolph and one grandson, Christian McCartney.
The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. There will be a celebration of life to follow Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Austin Cemetery, Paw Paw.
