Shirley Mae Moriarty, 80, of Paw Paw,  passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at New Friends Residence in Kalamazoo.

She was born October 24, 1939 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Maynard  Hainer and Lucille (Demott ) Hainer.

Shirley led a simple life. She was a meticulous homemaker and took pride in her home, especially her decorating abilities. She loved the outdoors and nature. The worlds animals and creatures big and small were dear to her. Shirley was a devout Catholic. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

On, May 11, 1963 in Battle Creek, she married John Moriarty who preceded in death in 2013.

She is survived by her three daughters, Denise (Alan) Lenox, Colette (Matthew Stratton) Calame, Michelle (Frank) Loedeman and her son, Michael  Moriarty; nine grandchildren, Neal (Kim) McEachin, Danielle (Rayhon) Aslam, Aron McEachin, Ian (Gena) Walters, Kaillie (Alejandro) Vinsano, Caleb (Jamie) Moriarty, Luke Moriarty, Noah Moriarty and Grace Moriarty; six great-grandchildren, Luke, Abby, Luella, Mamoun, Ali and Eli.

The family will visit Tuesday, August 11, 2020 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Graveside services will commence at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, Battle Creek. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sierra Club Foundation.
