Sylvia Anne Wroblewski, 87, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, peacefully at her home.
She was born November 4, 1935, in Chicago, the daughter of the late Joseph J. Surdy and Victoria L. (Grudecki) Surdy. Sylvia and her family moved to Paw Paw when she was a young girl. She attended Saint Mary School and has been a long time active parishioner at Saint Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed helping with the bake sales and providing baked goods to share with others. She has enjoyed living at her home on Lake Cora for the last five decades. She was the owner of Lake Cora Beauty Salon for 25 years and was a member of the Lawrence Garden Club. She was a true master gardener and found great joy in tending to her garden and taking care of the landscaping around her home. Years back, Sylvia enjoyed golfing at Lake Cora. She was also an avid reader and made many trips to the library to check out new books.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Mary) Wroblewski of Byron Center, her daughter, Ellen Stanko of Paw Paw, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her two brothers, Robert (Judy) Surdy and Victor (Christie) Surdy.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Wroblewski in 1991.
