William John Denzel

William "Bill" John Denzel, 84, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday, August 27, 2021 at his home.

He was born December 3, 1936 in Manton, Michigan, the son of the late Carl Denzel and Esther (Johnson ) Denzel.

On May 20, 1956, in Paw Paw, he married Joanna R. (Romayne) Denzel who survives.

Bill loved watching the Detroit Tigers and attended many Tigers games with Joanna. He also enjoyed spending time gardening along with fishing and hunting.

He is also survived by his son, Gary (Sondra) Denzel; daughter Cathy (Timothy) Johnson, granddaughter, Katilyn (Cole) Wagenschutz; grandson, Tyler Norris; great grandson, William Edward Wagenschutz, step-granddaughter, Sarah (Shain) Fish and step-great granddaughter, Addisyn Fish, along with many nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Lucille Overacker, one son, Bruce Denzel and his brother, Earl Denzel.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, August 30, 2021, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.  at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave.,  Paw Paw. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Len Schoenherr officiating. Burial will follow at the Almena Cemetery.
