Robert graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1965 and enrolled in the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. After his Honorable Discharge as a Platoon Sergeant in 1968, Bob enrolled in the Mortuary Science Program at Wayne State University, where graduated with distinction in 1971. Bob worked at the Hawley Funeral Home in Paw Paw until 1987, when he along with his wife, Debbie purchased the Zolp Funeral Home, which became the Adams-Zolp Funeral Home. Bob has spent his entire life devoted to the Paw Paw community and has served on many boards and organizations through the years. Some of those include organizing and commanding the American Legion Post #68 Color Guard, which went on to win 4 state championships. Bob has also been an active member and past president of the American Legion post #68 since 1975, where he was honored with a Life Membership in 1995. Bob has been officiating high school football since 1968, officiating multiple championship games at the Silverdome as Crew Chief. Bob is currently a member of the MFDA, NFDA, American Legion, Paw Paw Kiwanis Club, Michigan High School Athletic Association, Van Kal Officials Association, Terrill's Football Crew, Paw Paw Housing Commission and the MHSAA. With all of these accomplishments, the one he is most proud of is being a Husband, Father and Grandfather to his family. Bob is fortunate enough to have all of his family in the Paw Paw community and enjoys spending his free time with them.
